Workforce Investment Act Programs
Individuals who have not been able to obtain employment through our basic services may be eligible to receive additional levels of service through enrollment in one of our Workforce Investment Act (WIA) programs. The WIA Adult Program and the WIA Dislocated Worker Program can provide the means to increase employability and achieve career goals.
Adult Program & Dislocated Worker Program
The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) provides federal funds for programs to assist individuals who are underemployed or unemployed. Enrollment in a WIA program enables individuals to get an intensive level of services which may include comprehensive assessments, development of individual employment plans and counseling.
Those who are unable to gain employment through core and intensive services may be considered for available educational funding. The WIA programs provide funding for training in a marketable field. Funding is on a case-by-case basis and contingent upon committee approval.
For more information about the WIA program or to make an appointment, please call our General Information line at 720.523.6898.

The WIA Youth Program assists young adults with educational goals and employment training in order to achieve future career success. Read more about youth services.
