Suncor ERT Live Fire Training at Commerce City Refinery

Please be advised that on Thursday, July 26, the Suncor ERT will conduct live fire training at the Plant 1 Fire Training grounds.  The training will begin around 8am and will last throughout the day. The training will be performed  at the Plant 1 Fire Training Grounds located on the western edge of our property (towards Burlington Canal).  During the training there will be large flames and thick smoke produced.

In the event of an actual emergency, we will cease all ERT training and proper alarms will be sounded.

Jodie Kammerzell Named Administrator of the Workforce & Business Center

Jodie Kammerzell, formerly the Adams County Workforce & Business Center (WBC) manager, has been promoted to the position of administrator of WBC effective July 1, 2018.

“We’re pleased to promote Jodie to serve as our administrator in the Workforce & Business Center,” said Chris Kline, Adams County Human Services director. “She has managed a wide range of highly successful workforce development programs and has devoted her career to serving and enhancing the lives of those with the greatest disadvantages.”

NOTICE: Suncor ERT will conduct live fire training on Thursday, June 12, from approximately 8 a.m. and will last throughout the day. The training will be performed at the Plant 1 Fire Training grounds. During the training, there will likely be large flames and thick smoke produced. In the event of an actual emergency, all ERT training will cease and proper alarms will be sounded. The purpose of the meeting is to conduct such business as may come before the Committee to the Board.

Animal Shelter Volunteer Program

Want to find out how you can help our furry friends from the Adams County Animal Shelter? Join us Tuesday, July 10, 1-3 p.m.,at the Adams County Government Center, Cenference Center, 4430 S. Adams County Parkway, Brighton, for an orientation and overview of the shelter's volunteer program. We are looking for volunteers to assist for at least a six-month time frame for approximately eight hours a month.

County Files Lawsuit Related to Airport Noise Monitoring

The Adams County Board of Commissioners filed a lawsuit today against the City and County of Denver (Denver). The legal action, filed in Jefferson County District Court, relates to noise monitoring as dictated by the original 1988 Intergovernmental Agreement between Adams County and Denver.
