Information and Resources on the Coronavirus
The Motor Vehicle Department has reopened to serve customers who had appointments canceled during the closure. Walk-in are not allowed at this time. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 20, the Motor Vehicle lobbies will open to walk-ins from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Recording Department is open by appointment only. Appointments are available online. Most county buildings, with some exceptions--including the Elections Department, will be closed on Mondays. Learn more about this new schedule.

Responsibilities & Services
The county clerk and recorder is an elected official of Adams County and serves the public as set forth in Colorado State Statutes. Through offices situated in various locations throughout the county, the Clerk and Recorder's Office:
- Files maps
- Handles elections
- Issues marriage and civil union licenses
- Prepares and issues motor vehicle titles and plates
- Records documents
- Registers voters

*The Elections Department is open for walk-ins Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. throughout the months of October and November.
