Information and Resources on the Coronavirus
The Motor Vehicle Department is open to walk-ins Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
The Recording Department requires appointments for passports and marriage/civil union licenses only. Appointments are available online.
No appointment is necessary for any other recording service. Recording Department hours are Tuesday-Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Responsibilities & Services
The county Clerk & Recorder is an elected official of Adams County and serves the public as set forth in Colorado State Statutes. Through offices situated in various locations throughout the county, the Clerk & Recorder's Office:
- Files maps
- Handles elections
- Issues marriage and civil union licenses
- Prepares and issues motor vehicle titles and plates
- Records documents
- Registers voters
