Women’s Vet2Vet
This group is open to female veterans and veterans who identify as female, who are already receiving mental health care and have experienced an MST. It is intended to encourage social engagement and processing and is facilitated by a certified readjustment counselor and a female veteran peer. Veteran Bowling League
The Denver Vet Center, Adams County, and Warrior Now in collaboration with The Wounded Warrior Project and The Summit provide a free all-veterans bowling league. Join fellow veterans every week for bowling and camaraderie. No sign-up required to start; all veterans are eligible to join the league for free.

Comeback Yoga
The Denver Vet Center and Adams County have partnered with the nonprofit Comeback Yoga to offer free, beginner level yoga classes for veterans. No signup required; veterans can simply join the classes for free by attending or on Zoom. Mats are provided.

Vietnam Veteran Group
This is a safe space for Vietnam veterans to come together. Camaraderie for those who have been unable to cope with difficulties of their service helps them find the strength and courage to do so and allows the healing process to begin.

Readjustment Counseling
Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military life to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, marriage, and family counseling are offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are veterans, are experienced and prepared to discuss the tragedies of war, loss, grief, and transition after trauma.

Superhero Group/Volleyball
Come to The Island for veteran group therapy for those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The group meeting will be facilitated by a certified readjustment counselor. Volleyball will follow the group therapy session.

Operation Equine
Equine therapy is being provided through partnerships with Operation Equine, WarriorNow, and Veterans Treatment Court in both Erie and Parker locations to veterans in Adams County and those engaged in Veteran’s treatment court. Classes are four-week courses on a rotating schedule.
