Tax Assistance Resources

These resources are available to Adams County residents for preparing their 2020 taxes. Learn more about each resource and program requirements below.

Adams County Tax Preparation Program

The Adams County Treasurer and Public Trustee VITA site will start taking appointments via telephone on Tuesday, February 9, at 9:30 AM. Appointments will be made in the order of calls received, including voice messages. Call 720.523.6771 for appointment scheduling and to verify return will be within the scope of the VITA program.

AIMS Community College

Assistance is available both virtually and in person (appointment required).

Greeley (Saturdays)

Loveland (Thursdays - appointment required)

Front Range Community College 

FRCC’s Westminster campus tax help site will offer a new, safe option to access tax assistance starting in February 2021. This option will be available through April 10.

Online virtual tax assistance

For those unable to use the online option, Tax Help Colorado volunteers will offer a very limited number of in-person appointments for service intake. Appointments are required to keep taxpayers and volunteers safe during COVID-19.

Appointments are available 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays only from Feb. 6 through April 10.

DABC – Denver Asset Building Coalition

The DABC reopened for tax preparation services on February 5.

Tax Prep Services are provided to families making less than $57,000 or single filers making less than $35,000.

Services are available, by appointment only, at 2475 W. 26th Ave., Denver.

Days of service vary:

  • Feb. 5 - Feb. 27: Monday-Saturday (closed Sundays)
  • March 1 - April 3: Tuesday-Saturday (closed Sundays and Mondays)
  • April 5 - April 17: Monday-Saturday (closed Sundays)
  • April 18-May 9: Closed
  • May 10-July 31: TBD
  • Aug.-Dec.: TBD

A sign language interpreter or CART provided upon request. Contact SignLanguageServices@denvergov.org or call 720.913.8487 to schedule an interpreter to meet you at the site.
