Southwest Adams County contains part of the "first ring" suburbs developed around Denver during the post-WWII era.  This diverse area is showing its age and the fact that more investment dollars have been spent elsewhere in past decades.  Various land use types can be found in southwest Adams County, including most varieties of residential housing, commercial districts, and industrial areas.  Many neighborhoods gave evolved to contain a mix of land uses.  Each area has its own unique set of circumstances, issues and needs, and stakeholders.  This calls for many different approaches to the planning process.  The Southwest Adams County Framework Plan was created to guide and organize the multiple planning efforts needed in this area.
