(Updated) Gov. Hickenlooper Orders Colorado Flags Lowered to Honor Victims of Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 — Gov. John Hickenlooper has updated yesterday’s order to lower flags following the Presidential proclamation. Gov. Hickenlooper has ordered flags lowered to half-staff on all public buildings, until sunset on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, to honor the victims of the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, and as proclaimed by President Donald Trump.

The Governor also shared the following statement: “What happened at the Tree of Life Synagogue is purely tragic. We must be able to live in peace and to worship in total freedom, without fear of discrimination or violence. Our hearts are with the people of Pittsburgh.”
