Tornado Siren Information

While unincorporated Adams County does not have tornado sirens, some of our municipal jurisdictions do. Currently, Commerce City, Brighton, and Aurora all utilize tornado sirens, or outdoor warning systems, during times of extreme weather. These sirens are set off depending on the guidelines and protocols of each jurisdiction. They are also tested at certain times during the year. To ensure that you know how to effectively respond when you hear these sirens, please visit each jurisdiction’s website to learn more about how they use tornado sirens.
