Ron Sigman, Emergency Manager
Ron started with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office in 2016 as the Emergency Services Coordinator and was appointed to the position of Emergency Manager in 2018. His primary duties include the oversight of the Emergency Management program and the Emergency Operations Center.
Ron has been a resident of Adams County since 1994 and has worked in law enforcement along the Front Range since 1985, retiring from the Broomfield Police Department. He is a former Marine Corps Captain and holds degrees in Emergency Management & Planning and Homeland Security/Disaster Response. Ron graduated Summa Cum Laude from Regis University.
Richard Atkins, Emergency Management Coordinator
Richard started with Adams County Office of Emergency Management in January 2015. His primary duties include emergency plans development and implementation and also coordinating the Adams County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
Richard came to Adams County from Oklahoma. He served 36 years at Oklahoma State University with law enforcement and emergency preparedness responsibilities. Richard also was an adjunct instructor for eight years with the Oklahoma State University Fire Service Training, instructing Homeland Security and Hazardous Material Response classes.
