Neighborhood Cleanup Events Scheduled for 2018

The Adams County Public Works Department will again host a series of neighborhood cleanup events in 2018. Residents are encouraged to bring yard waste and other debris to these locations:

  • Berkeley: Saturday, May 19, 7 a.m.-noon, Carl Park Community Center, 5401 Meade St.
  • Dahlia: Saturday, June 9, 7 a.m.-noon, Dahlia Pit, I-76 Frontage Rd., between 74th and 88th Avenues
  • Strasburg: Saturday, Sept., 8, 7 a.m.-noon, Adams County Public Works, 2550 Strasburg Rd.

“These cleanup events are a win-win situation for the county and its residents,” said Mary Hodge, chair of the Adams County Board of Commissioners. “Residents have the opportunity to get rid of their unwanted material, and the county can make sure it is disposed of properly. It improves our neighborhoods and is a great service we can provide to our residents.”

Restricted items include chemicals of any kind (paint, auto, cleaning, etc.), appliances, oils, televisions, computers, and batteries.
