Motor Vehicle Office Hours Changing in 2019

All county Motor Vehicle offices will change business hours at the beginning of 2019. As of Jan. 2, 2019, the new hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the general public and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for companies and dealers. After 4 p.m., one transaction will be permitted per company/dealer.

These new hours will bring consistency with general Adams County office hours and throughout the Clerk and Recorder’s offices—which includes Elections, Motor Vehicle, and Recording.

“This change will help improve our customer service,” says Stan Martin, Adams County Clerk and Recorder. “Our new hours are more in-line with the Department of Revenue’s operating hours, which will help our staff have the support they need to better serve our citizens and companies/dealers with the thousands of transactions we handle in any given week.”

All Motor Vehicle locations and current wait times can be viewed online at adcogov.org/motor-vehicle. There are also multiple ways citizens can renew their registration or complete other transactions without visiting a Motor Vehicle office. Learn more on our website.

In addition, all Adams County offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 24, Tuesday, Dec. 25, and Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of the holidays.
