Commissioners Add Evening Schedule for Public Hearings

With the goal of increasing citizen engagement and participation, the Adams County Board of Commissioners is adding one evening hearing per month for the duration of 2016. The first evening hearing will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2, at the Government Center, 4430 South Adams County Parkway, Brighton.

“We know that our residents are busier than ever with work and family activities, so offering different times and at least one evening public hearing each month will hopefully allow for more interaction and perspective from the people we serve,” said Commissioner Steve O’Dorisio.

The evening public hearings for 2016 include September 6, October 4, November 1, and December 6 at 5:30 p.m. with land use hearings to follow when applicable. All County commissioners’ public hearings are streamed live and recorded on the county’s YouTube Channel. Regular public hearings are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays.
