Provided Assistance
The Home Investment Partnership Act Program (HOME) supports activities that increase and maintain the supply of permanent, affordable housing for low- to moderate-income residents. Funds are used for a variety of activities such as new housing construction, acquisition, down payment assistance, housing rehabilitation and tenant-based rental assistance. The HOME Program provides funding for affordable housing projects in partnership with government, nonprofit and private organizations.
Development Assistance
The county also uses HOME funding in support of Community Development Housing Organizations (CDHO), nongovernment housing developers who provide safe, decent and affordable housing to residents.
Popular Forms of Assistance
Two programs of special interest are the Housing Rehabilitation and Down Payment Assistance programs. For more information about these programs, see our direct service activities section and/or contact our staff representatives. |
