Community Services Block Grant
Program For Poverty
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program provides a range of services and activities having a measurable and potentially major impact on the causes of poverty in the community, or those areas of the community where poverty is a particularly acute problem. CSBG is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The program is administered by the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) and funded by counties for local use.

Organizations Funded
Funding awards are made to community organizations for:
  • Emergency assistance to seniors for rent
  • Homeless and emergency shelter activities
  • Mortgages
  • Our food distribution center program activities
  • Respite and in-home supportive services for seniors
  • Senior nutrition programs
  • Shelter and counseling services for victims of domestic violence
  • Utilities
