Due Dates

Property Taxes are due January 1st for the previous year. Payment may be paid in two equal installments or in one full installment.

HALF PAYMENT OPTION

First Half Payment Due February 28

Second Half Payment Due June 15

FULL PAYMENT OPTION

Full Payment Due April 30

Only HALF or FULL payments will be accepted. Partial payments are not accepted.

When the tax amount is twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or less, the half-payment option does not apply, therefore a single payment must be received by the full payment date.

Payments bearing U.S. postmarks reflective of these dates are acceptable. If your payment is postmarked after the deadline date, delinquent interest is added to the tax amount. Click here for more information on Delinquent Interest.

JANUARY Tax notices are sent.
FEBRUARY First half tax payment is due. Payment must be received by the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office or must be postmarked by the 28th of February.
APRIL Full tax payment is due. Payment must be received by the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office or must be post marked by the 30th of April.
JUNE Second half tax payment is due. Payment must be received by the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office or must be post marked by the 15th of June.
JULY Delinquent tax notices are mailed.
AUGUST Subsequent tax lists will be available to investors for the current year tax endorsements.
SEPTEMBER Real property taxes that remain unpaid will be listed in a newspaper four weeks prior to the tax lien sale and advertised for three consecutive weeks. Personal property taxes will be advertised once at the beginning of September.
OCTOBER Personal property taxes that remain unpaid as of October 1st, will be subject to distraint, seizure and sale to satisfy taxes due.
***TAX LIEN SALE The annual online tax lien sale goes live on October 7th and will close November 6th, starting at 9:00AM.
NOVEMBER To avoid additional delinquent interest and fees caused by the tax lien sale, taxes must be paid by 5:00 PM on October 31th. The Mobile Home Tax Lien Sale will be the last section of the Internet Tax Lien Sale.
DECEMBER Prepayment of taxes due next year must be received by noon on the last business day of this month. Any payments received after noon will bear a receipt date of the following year.
LATE DECEMBER The Board of County Commissioners certifies the Tax Roll.  They also establish the mill levy for the property tax collection.  Property taxes are collected one year in arrears.
